Since long in the year 1979 some eminent citizens belonging to Sikh Samaj of Durg assembled together to constitute -“The Khalsa Education Society” with late Sardar Puran Singh as an adhoc President. The Society was later registered under Registrar Firms and Society vide Regd. No. 8120/ 27.07.1979. The First and foremost aim and object of this Society was to start Khalsa Public School in English medium, at Durg. Hence during its early inception the school (Khalsa Public School) was started at the basement of the building of Gurudwara, Shri Guru Singh Sabha Durg in July 1979. Later on when the present campus was constructed, the school was shifted to new campus. Now the school has a full fledge magnificent building at Jail Road, Near Jal Parisar, New Civil Lines Durg. The motto of the Society is to serve the common people by providing equal opportunities of the best education to their children of both the haves and have not at the lowest expenses without any difference of caste, creed and religion. The society is serving this cause by providing good quality of education to the wards of common people without charging any kind of Donation. The institution is 37 years old and has achieved many laurels in the fields of Education and Sports. The guiding principles behind the ideology and working of the institution is "Sarbat a Bhala" The institution gets its inspiration from "The Light of Gurubani" "Shubh Karman Te Kabhu Na Daron"
